From building the world’s tallest building to creating the largest and most beautiful man-made islands in the world, Dubai goes above and beyond the limits of design and science.

The theme is based on the ascender in type anatomy and references the mind-bending wonders within Dubai. For the design of the conference, I created an interlacing design that stretches beyond the standard grid structure of typography. The words imitate the geometric script art in Dubai and the Middle East. I also incorporated immersive lighting experiences and navigation, because the energy of this cannot be contained in one medium or plane.

Hosted in the City of Dreams, this conference pushes designers to go beyond their own limits while experiencing structures and works that only existed in the imagination.
